Join Our Team: Experience the thrill of climbing with Dublin University Climbing Club (DUCC). Whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced climber, we cater to everyone! DUCC offers overnight climbing trips across Ireland to scenic spots like The Mourne Mountains, The Burren, and Glendalough, as well as partaking in competition throughout the year and striving to share and encourage enthusiasm for our sport through our club community of climbers of all levels and backgrounds.

Participation and Training: DUCC is dedicated to developing your climbing skills. Each year, we teach new climbers to belay, top rope, and lead climb, so we don't expect any experience from you when you first walk in the door. With our bi-weekly club sessions we provide a platform where you can take climbing as seriously or as casually as you like, they're perfect for making new friends, having a laugh, and staying active while learning more about the sport.

Achievements: Our club has a proud history of success, being the overall winner of Irish Rock Climbing Intervarsities in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2023 and now 2026!

Registration and Fees: An annual membership fee is required to join. This fee supports the club's operations, including training, equipment, and participation in competitions. Erasmus exchange students should check at the sports centre reception for any additional fees associated with facility use.

Inclusive Environment: At DUCC, we pride ourselves on fostering an inclusive and supportive environment. We welcome climbers of all skill levels and backgrounds, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to thrive, contribute, and enjoy the sport. We are also proud to offer climbing opportunities to those with physical disabilities, if you would like to climb and have a disability impeding you, please reach out and we will work with you to accomodate your needs.

Social Events and Activities: Beyond climbing, we regularly organize social events to strengthen our community bonds and celebrate our achievements. These gatherings are fantastic opportunities to connect with fellow climbers and enrich your university experience.
